Mapping the concept of affect - study notes
One of the main axis that guide our investigation is the concept of affect. It is a complex concept first put forward by XVII century Dutch philosopher Baruch Spinoza, and since then it has been retaken by several philosophers looking to understand other concepts as diverse as the body, impersonal abstractions, non-representative theory, capitalism, physical experiences and human nature.
Because of this, we have studied the idea of affect from many angles. This 'mental map' is part of the study process looking to understand how we can use affect as a tool and methodology. The aim of posting about our research process, including drafts and notes, is to give context to our practice and to give an inside to the way we build up our project and the background behind our exchanges.

Uno de los ejes principales que orientan nuestra investigación es el concepto de afecto. Este es un concepto complejo planteado por primera vez por el filósofo holandés del siglo XVII Baruch Spinoza, y que desde entonces ha sido retomado por varios filósofos que buscan comprender otros conceptos tan diversos como el cuerpo, abstracciones impersonales, teoría no representativa, capitalismo, experiencias físicas y la naturaleza humana.
Debido a esto, hemos estudiado la idea de afecto desde muchos ángulos. Este 'mapa mental' es parte del proceso de estudio que busca comprender cómo podemos usar el afecto como herramienta y metodología. El objetivo de publicar sobre nuestro proceso de investigación, incluidos borradores y notas, es dar contexto a nuestra práctica y permitir una mirada a la forma en la que construimos nuestro proyecto, así como el trasfondo detrás de nuestros intercambios.
